The content is divided into two books: Parshas Shemot (Genesis), which covers the creation of the world and humanity, and Parshas Shoftim (the last eight weeks of Exodus), which talks about the giving of biblical law. The Daf Kompakt is published in many editions, the most popular of which is the Keter edition and is suitable for studying Talmud and law. The JMP edition was translated by Rabbi Dr. H. Freedman and HaRav HaGaon R’ Tzvi Yehuda HaKohen Kook, and was published by Achiya Publishing House, Jerusalem (ISBN 965-7108-08-4). More than 200,000 copies have been sold worldwide. The object of the translation was to facilitate self study of Daf Yomi on the part of Daf Yomi students who do not know German or do not find it convenient to study from a German translation.
